Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Asteria AI ("Asteria," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of our website, browser extension, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing the extension, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws and rules that apply to you.
Description of the Service
Asteria AI provides AI-powered tools that generate responses, explanations, and other content based on inputs you provide or capture. Outputs are produced by automated systems and third-party AI providers and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purposes. The Service is provided for personal and informational use, and you are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features of the Service at any time without notice.
Accounts and Security
To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
- All activity that occurs under your account;
- Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.
You may not share your account, sell access to it, or allow others to use it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised or used in violation of these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
- Cheat, plagiarize, or violate the rules, honor codes, or terms of any school, exam, platform, or third-party service;

- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
- Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal use or circumvents usage limits.
You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for any consequences of that use.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the inputs you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and use your inputs and outputs as necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit your inputs and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.
AI Outputs
Outputs are generated automatically and are provided "as is." They may be inaccurate, biased, outdated, or otherwise unreliable, and they do not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or academic advice. You should independently verify outputs before relying on them. To the extent permitted by law, ownership of outputs is assigned to you, subject to your compliance with these Terms; however, outputs may not be unique, and similar content may be generated for other users.
Payments and Subscriptions
Certain features require payment. Paid plans and subscriptions are billed through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). By purchasing, you authorize us and our processor to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis where applicable.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled;
- You may cancel at any time, with cancellation effective at the end of the current billing period;
- Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated;
- We may change pricing prospectively, with notice for active subscriptions.
You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchases.
Privacy and Data
We collect and use data to operate the Service, improve performance and accuracy, analyze usage, maintain security, and deliver advertising and marketing. We may use cookies, usage data, and device information for personalized advertising. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, logos, and content (other than your inputs and outputs assigned to you), is owned by Asteria or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on and may interact with third-party services and platforms that we do not control, including AI, payment, hosting, and infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of those third parties, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTERIA AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Asteria and its officers, employees, and partners from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service, our users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Asteria operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where prohibited by applicable law.
